CW was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1978.  He went to Catholic School until grade 5, then transferred to public school.  He dropped out after grade 9 and started traveling by freight train until 19 and texas.  He had a little bit of trouble there and had to get a job.  He was training piercers until he met monte and jason sexton in san Francisco.  He then moved to tampa where he apprenticed in tattoo under dan moore.  After the apprenticeship he moved back to Alabama, tattooed there with Tom Smith for a couple of years where he learned the tattoo machine and it’s function from Toms view.  He moved to denver colorado and worked for Walter McDonald.  Truly a second apprenticeship, this is where CW learned magic.  Walter has been the largest influence on CWs idea of tattooing.  CW then moved back to Alabama and worked for Tom Smith again, after Tom sold the shop, CW opened Royal Street Tattoo in Mobile, Alabama.  His goal is to give quality tattoos any customer would be happy with and to give the tattooers that he has shown the crafter a fair place to practice their magic.
