Pony was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved to Mobile while he was still in high school.  After school, he went to college at West Florida for 3 years, majoring in Psychology.  During this time, Pony was getting tattooed by CW and decided that he wanted to pursue tattooing.  He quit college and pursued tattooing full time.  He apprenticed under CW for 2 years.  After finished his apprenticeship he tattooed in Mobile for a bit, and then moved to Austin, Texas.  He was there until CW began working on opening Royal Street, and Pony moved back to Mobile to be a part of it.  Pony has also been painting for over 8 years.  Pony’s work has also been published in magazines nationwide.
