Suzette Callahan’s story starts in the late 70′s, born and raised in northern Ohio. From a young age, her creative talents began to shine. Constantly drawing, painting, and creating whatever and wherever she could. She used her creativity as a postive outlet while having to move around between both parents. During her high school years, she kept a busy schedule preparing herself for her college years ahead. Any free time on her schedule was soon filled with extra elective art courses. Everything from watercolor, calligraphy, pottery, sewing, photography, wood/metal shop, mechanical drawing, stained glass, and the list goes on. She was top of all her art classes. Art was a love she would never be able to put down. But being an avid animal lover, Suzette went on to college to pursue a career in veterinarian medicine. While balancing her busy school schedule and the stress of everyday life, she was sucked into the business professional world. Eventually the weight of college and the office began to be too much. College had to be put on hold. As the years flew by, Suzette began to embrace her punker life style. Surrounding herself with like minded people. She began to focus more on doing the things that made her happy. Family, friends, pets, hardcore punk music, traveling, and collecting tattoos. By 2006, she had the opportunity to leave Ohio. Leaving her home town of Cleveland behind, she pushed forward to new adventures. Once in Alabama, Suzette took on her apprenticeship. With lot of hard work and dedication, her nomadic way of life brought her traveling across the gulf coast. During this time she enhanced her skills and was able to work with many other great people, until one day when Mobile would draw her back. Royal Street Tattoo being a shop she respected and admired, she took a chance and applied for a spot. Welcomed with open arms, she became part of the RST family. Now she dedicates her time fine tuning her knowledge of the trade. Beside tattooing full time, she still paints, sews, and works part time with a photography business she shares with a dear friend. Suzette looks forward to more tattooing, traveling, and sharing an enlightening future with her new tattoo family.
